Timothy Betley – Chairman

Tim started his career as an Investment Dealer in Montreal before moving to a major trust company in the Bahamas. 

He was responsible for establishing Royal Bank of Canada’s International Private Banking and Trust presence in the Channel Islands.

Tim was with RBC for some 25 years as Managing Director of their Channel Islands business. Since his retirement from the bank in 1999, Tim has continued to use his wealth of experience by retaining a number of executive and consulting roles within the finance sector.

He is a past Chairman of the International Bankers Association and a member of the International Tax Planning Association and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Tim is non‑executive Chairman of Trust Corporation.
