After completing a law degree at Cambridge University, Lydia completed her training contract at the magic circle firm, Allen & Overy LLP. She then spent ten years practicing as a private client lawyer, first at Allen & Overy LLP and then at private wealth boutique firm, Maurice Turnor Gardner LLP. Lydia joined TCI at the end of 2016. Lydia has extensive experience of working on complex trust structures, and has been closely involved in the design, incorporation and ongoing administration of these structures. She has extensive expertise in UK tax matters and has spent many years advising on the legal, practical and tax issues relevant to excluded property trusts established by resident, non-domiciled individuals. Whilst in private practice, Lydia was twice named as one of Private Client Practitioner’s “Top 35 under 35” and she was also included in the Citywealth Leaders list for “Powerwomen” in the private wealth world.
